The general secretary of the PSD, Claudiu Manda, launched a harsh attack against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, accusing him that, in the more than 100 days of his mandate, he has led Romania from one crisis to another.

Manda emphasized that the Romanian economy is in contraction, with a GDP decrease of 0.8% in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. He criticized the fiscal measures adopted by the government, stating that they have led to a drastic decrease in the purchasing power of salaries and pensions, as well as an increase in unemployment.

Manda called on the Prime Minister to make a sacrifice and resign, emphasizing that Romanians are bearing the costs of his inefficient government. In the end, he stated that Bolojan should leave, considering that he has asked for sacrifices from the entire population.
