The Brașov County Council will pay 118,000 lei to a lawyer to represent the institution in three lawsuits regarding the annulment of certain administrative acts related to the Integrated Waste Management System.

The Brașov County Council decided, during an extraordinary meeting, to allocate the amount of 118,000 lei to contract a lawyer who will represent the institution in three cases pending before the Brașov Tribunal.

These litigations aim to annul certain administrative acts issued within the urban planning and environmental procedures necessary for the implementation of the Integrated Waste Management System (SMID). Representatives of the Brașov County Council emphasized the high complexity of these cases, which involve national and European legislation in the field of the environment.

Alongside the Brașov County Council, the parties in these processes are the Municipality and the Local Council of the Măieruș commune, the Brașov County Environmental Protection Agency, and the ISO Mediu Brașov Intercommunity Development Association. The lawyer was selected following a submitted offer, and contracting him is considered necessary for the effective defense of the County Council's interests in these complex litigations.
