Chisinau International Airport will be named 'Eugen Doga', according to a decision approved by the government. The decision comes as a tribute to the great composer, who died on June 3. The initiative was inspired by an online petition launched by a young woman from Chisinau, who proposed the renaming following the example of other international airports.
