The checks were triggered by complaints from a patient who donated skin for her sister, hospitalized with severe burns. She noticed inadequate hygiene conditions, including cockroaches and ants, and requested information about the risks of infection. The health ministry is now checking the hospital's cleaning practices and the substances used. The patient's transfer abroad was prompted by these problems, and her sister managed to bring her to Belgium, where her condition has improved considerably.
