Charley Ottley, a British journalist known for his documentaries "Wild Carpathia" and "Flavours of Romania", has obtained Romanian citizenship, after the Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, mentioned the bureaucratic difficulties encountered in his process. The oath-taking ceremony will take place on November 6 at the National Authority for Citizenship, where several foreigners from various countries will become Romanian citizens. Ottley, an honorary citizen of Brașov, is appreciated for his significant contribution to promoting Romanian tourism and culture internationally. The president of ANC, Claudia Țapardel, emphasized the impact of his documentaries on Romania's image, highlighting the beauty of the country. Ottley has been visiting Romania annually since 2011 and has been recognized at the UN for his work.
