The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, declared on Wednesday that the situation at CFR Călători is under analysis by the ministry and the government.

Trains with electric locomotives belonging to CFR Călători are in danger of being unable to operate, starting next week, on the national railway network, due to the accumulated debts of the passenger transport operator to the Electrification Society CFR SA, according to a notification sent to them on September 29.
