On the occasion of the Day of the Unification of the Romanian Principalities, CFR Călători is introducing the anniversary train 'The Unification Train', which will run on the Bucharest - Iasi route.

The anniversary train will be driven by a tricolor locomotive and will be greeted by locals at several stations along the route. On the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities, the train will have an additional stop of about 10 minutes at the stations of Bârlad and Vaslui. It will mark 165 years since the Union of the Romanian Principalities under the leadership of Alexandru Ioan Cuza.
