The Deputy Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu stated that Romania's partnership with the USA in the field of security and intelligence is functioning very well, but it is essential to develop the economic component as well. Predoiu emphasized that Romania needs economic development and that economic partnerships with the USA could bring significant investments into the national economy.

He mentioned that security and prosperity are interconnected, and Romania must capitalize on the historical opportunities for collaboration with the USA in the context of global changes. Recently, the Deputy Prime Minister had meetings with high-ranking American officials, including those from the FBI and the Department of Justice, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.
