The Carpathian Vipers detachment, consisting of four F-16 aircraft and about 100 military personnel, will provide the Enhanced Air Policing Service in Lithuania. This will be the third deployment of Romanian air forces to Lithuania, with the aim of ensuring the protection of the integrity of the airspace of the Baltic States and NATO. The mission will last four months and the aircraft will land at Šiauliai Air Base in Lithuania.
