On Monday morning, Călin Georgescu showed up at the IJP Ilfov to sign the judicial control, greeted by supporters. In front of the press, he said he had been marginalized for his pro-peace speeches in the context of the conflict in Ukraine. Georgescu criticized the current government for its lack of transparency and bad economic decisions, saying that the people should not pay for politicians' mistakes. He also dismissed rumors about a candidacy for the capital's mayoralty, stressing that he does not intend to get involved in party politics.
