Călin Georgescu, former candidate in the 2024 presidential elections, remains under judicial control for another 60 days, after the Bucharest Tribunal rejected his appeal. Georgescu is accused of incitement to attempted actions against the constitutional order, communication of false information, legionary propaganda, and false statements. He faces up to 16 years in prison depending on the charges filed in the two separate cases.
