<p>BYD, a major Chinese player in electric vehicles, will expand its presence in Romania, with plans to open 20 car showrooms from April 2025, with a network reaching 30 dealers by the end of the year. The company will offer 7 electric and plug-in hybrid models, competing directly with Dacia and Ford. In the next 3 years, BYD aims to reach 60 dealers and aims to become the sales leader in Romania by 2030. BYD is also building a factory in Hungary to meet the demands of the European market.
