A 61-year-old man, a Bulgarian citizen, was arrested on November 5 by DIICOT prosecutors in Craiova, accused of international and domestic trafficking of high-risk drugs. The arrest took place after the man was caught in the act at the entry into Romania by border police in Dolj, having over 3.7 kilograms of methamphetamine mixed with pseudoephedrine, a precursor for drugs, in his possession.
The prohibited substances were packaged in textile rolls and envelopes, hidden in the armrest and trunk of his car. On October 6, his preventive arrest was proposed for 30 days, and judicial activities were carried out in collaboration with the Craiova Organized Crime Fighting Brigade.
