Bucharest is hosting, from August 3-8, the largest annual meeting of military reservists from NATO member and partner states, with the participation of over 500 reservists from 29 countries.
The congress is organized by the Association of Officers in Reserve from Romania, under the high patronage of the President of Romania. The official opening ceremony will take place on Monday. The program includes working sessions, specialized debates, workshops for young officers, and civil-military exercises, such as CIMEX-26. The Ministry of National Defense emphasizes that organizing this congress confirms Romania's role in collective defense, in the context of the deterioration of regional and global security.
CIOR, CIOMR, and CISOR are the organizations that bring together officers and non-commissioned officers in reserve, having a significant impact on the development of reserve forces within NATO. This meeting represents an important step in strengthening cooperation among member states and in addressing current security challenges.
