A 24-year-old border police officer has been detained by DIICOT, accused of forcing a 17-year-old girl to prostitute herself in Switzerland and Germany.

A 24-year-old border police officer has been detained by DIICOT for trafficking minors, human trafficking, and pimping. He is accused of exploiting a 17-year-old girl since April 2023, taking advantage of her vulnerability and creating appearances of love and promises of marriage. Between July 2024 and October 2025, the officer transported her to Switzerland and Germany, where he forced her into prostitution, using physical violence and psychological manipulation.

Additionally, another 23-year-old suspect is accused of recruiting a person for prostitution for his benefit. During the investigation, searches were conducted in Mehedinți County, where relevant evidence was found. Prosecutors have proposed the preventive arrest of the defendants for 30 days.
