In an intervention at Digi24, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan discussed the controversial act of George Simion, who cut a cake in the shape of Greenland, covered with the flag of the United States. Bolojan emphasized that every politician must take responsibility for their actions, but he considered that judging such an act as national treason is exaggerated.

He referred to the historical sensitivities related to the map of Romania and emphasized that, although the act does not have a criminal connotation, it is important to think about the symbolic impact of politicians' actions. Additionally, Bolojan avoided commenting in detail on Simion's act, leaving it to public opinion to decide.
