The National Bank of Romania (BNR) issued a statement following Eugen Rădulescu's warning, advisor to governor Mugur Isărescu, who stated on Facebook that the future of the Romanian economy is "extremely uncertain".

BNR emphasized that the messages from its employees on social media do not constitute official positions. The monetary authority recommended consulting official channels for accurate information. Rădulescu's post could lead to his dismissal from office, according to some sources.

Rădulescu warned on Monday, in a Facebook post, that the future of the Romanian economy is "extremely uncertain", and Romania could lose billions of euros if essential laws for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) are not adopted.
