Since receiving the call on Sunday evening, dozens of rescuers, including volunteers and mountain gendarmes, have continuously searched the difficult area. Along with the Black Hawk helicopter, the teams also benefited from the support of a SMURD helicopter and a canine unit. The searches are complicated by unfavorable weather conditions and the risk of avalanches, and the teams used RECCO devices and thermal imaging drones to check the area. DSU emphasized the importance of avoiding travel in dangerous mountain areas.
