The Gruiu Municipality has issued a warning regarding the presence of a bear in the forested area of the commune and has provided recommendations for the safety of the citizens.

The Gruiu City Hall in Ilfov County announced on Tuesday the presence of a bear in the forested area near the locality, alerting local authorities and intervention institutions to monitor the situation.

Representatives of the city hall emphasized the importance of the safety of citizens and issued a series of recommendations. They advised residents to avoid traveling in the area, including walks and sports activities, and not to stop to take photos if they see the bear. Additionally, citizens are warned not to feed the animal, to keep their pets safe, and to call 112 in case of danger.

The city hall called for responsibility and calm from the community and promised updates regarding the evolution of the situation. The Gruiu commune is located 35-45 kilometers from Bucharest.
