On Thursday morning, the second session of the 2025 Auto Rabla Program for individuals began, and AFM data shows that nearly 4,000 people have registered to purchase new cars with internal combustion engines. By 11:00 AM, 11,080 applications had been submitted for cars with internal combustion engines and 5,428 for electric vehicles, totaling over 16,500 registrations, including from the first session. AFM has increased the budget for vehicles with internal combustion engines by 45 million lei, reducing the funds for electric vehicles, which have been very little requested.

The total budget of the program is 200 million lei, and the funds for internal combustion cars have been quickly exhausted. The value of the eco-voucher for electric vehicles has significantly decreased, leading to low demand. In the first session, nearly 12,200 people registered, with a higher number for thermal cars. The program was suspended in June and only started again on September 30, 2025, and the decrease in the value of the eco-voucher negatively affected the sales of electric cars.
