The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) reacted after the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) rejected the law regarding the payment of private pensions, describing the decision as a confirmation of the flawed construction of the law voted by the majority of PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR. The CCR accepted the challenges from the High Court of Cassation and Justice and AUR, which contested a law that allowed the withdrawal of up to 30% of private pension funds at retirement, with the remainder to be paid monthly for 8 years. AUR emphasized that the law violates citizens' right to access their own contributions.

The party stated that it will monitor all legislative projects related to private funds and will oppose any attempts to limit citizens' access to their savings, emphasizing the importance of the state not becoming a forced manager of these savings.
