Augustin Zegrean, former president of the Constitutional Court of Romania, stated that the request to suspend two CCR judges, Dacian Dragoș and Mihai Busuioc, filed at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, is inadmissible and will be rejected. He explained that the CAB does not have the competence to judge such requests, as the Senate's decisions cannot be challenged in administrative litigation.

Zegrean emphasized that, in the event that the judges were suspended, there would be no quorum to make decisions regarding special pensions. He also mentioned that the solution is predictable and that the CAB will reject the request as inadmissible. The substantive judgment of the appeals has begun, and the ruling is expected on January 16.
