CNAIR announces the asphalting of the last kilometers of section 2 of A7, with the possibility of opening traffic by the end of August.

The general director of CNAIR, Cristian Pistol, announced that the asphalt works on the last kilometers of lot 2 of the Focșani-Bacău section of the A7 Highway are in full swing. Pistol mentioned that teams of workers, numbering over 40, and nearly 20 machines are working intensively on the Sascut-Berești sector in Bacău County.

The contractor UMB is mobilizing over 350 employees and 100 machines to complete the remaining 1.78 km between Adjud and Răcăciuni. The physical progress of the works has exceeded 90%, and traffic could be opened by the end of August 2026. Additionally, the Focșani-Adjud section, approximately 50 km long, was opened to traffic last year, thus facilitating access to the A7 up to Adjud.
