Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one in women's tennis, addressed important issues at Roland Garros, including increasing tournament revenues and limiting the time spent in press conferences. During a conference, Sabalenka stated that players deserve a greater reward, considering that they provide the entertainment.
She emphasized that without players, there would be no tournaments, and mentioned that the redistribution of revenues is unfair, with Grand Slam tournaments offering only 15% of revenues to players. Sabalenka left the conference after 15 minutes, wanting to convey a message of unity and to highlight the importance of reducing media obligations. She also announced that she will marry Georgios Frangulis, a Brazilian businessman, next summer, with the event set to take place in Greece.
