Following 32 searches carried out in the counties of Covasna, Harghita, and Brașov, one person was arrested for 30 days, and another person was placed under judicial control for 60 days, in a case of cigarette smuggling. The criminal group, structured in a pyramid model, was coordinated by a person who was evading criminal prosecution. This person was responsible for procuring the cigarettes and overseeing the distribution, while two other individuals handled storage, transport, and delivery. The cigarettes were hidden in seemingly abandoned cars, and the group members avoided communication via phones. During the investigations, several individuals were identified who were buying large quantities of cigarettes to resell them later.
