The Prosecutor's Office next to the Iași Court announced the preventive arrest of a man accused of fraud, after he defrauded a person of 128,000 euros. The incident took place at the end of February, when the victim met with the suspect, who presented himself as a real estate agent, to discuss a real estate transaction. Taking advantage of the buyer's inattention, the man replaced the authentic 200 euro banknotes with counterfeit ones, leaving only 7,000 euros in real notes visible. The victim discovered the fraud the next day when he checked the envelope with the money. The total damage amounts to 128,000 euros, and the suspect has been arrested and presented to the court.
