Arad Penitentiary has inaugurated an outdoor section at a pig slaughterhouse, offering 30 accommodation places for inmates.

The outdoor section has been developed under a public-private partnership, providing accommodation to a high standard. The inmates will work only in the farm's slaughterhouse, selected from those assigned to the semi-open regime and who have not committed violent crimes. The project aims to diversify and streamline the social reintegration of prisoners.
