The General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest has approved the granting of an additional 50% allowance to the members and auxiliary technical staff of the electoral bureaus involved in both the 2024 presidential elections and the local referendum in Bucharest. The amount allocated for these allowances will be transferred from the Bucharest local budget to the institutions involved. A draft budget adjustment was also adopted for the payment of polling station staff for the local referendum.
