Anti-corruption prosecutors are conducting searches at the Brașov Water Company and at the homes of some politicians, including the company's director, as part of a bribery case.

Raids are taking place in Brașov County and in Galați, targeting accusations of bribery and influence peddling. Among those investigated are the general director of the Water Company, Liviu Cocoș, and the vice president of CJ Brașov, Todorică Constantin Șerban. The company has been criticized for significant water losses, despite the high salaries of the directors, which has drawn the attention of the authorities.
