The National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania (ANOSR) expresses its disappointment with the Government's proposals to reduce financial support for students through legislative changes. These measures include decreasing the value of scholarships and limiting discounted rail transportation, which will seriously affect access to education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The ANOSR calls for the current formula for calculating scholarships to be maintained and for a public debate to be organized on this issue.
