Anca Alexandrescu, the former host of the show "Culisele Statului Paralel" and a candidate supported by AUR for the Capital City Hall, reacted to an investigation revealing that George Simion allegedly paid nearly one million euros for electoral promotion on Realitatea Plus. According to the source, only two hours of broadcasting in the program hosted by Alexandrescu would have cost 450,000 euros, even though Simion was not present. AUR allegedly requested reimbursement of these expenses from the state budget.
In a Facebook post, Alexandrescu accused a "double standard" in the collaboration of parties with television stations, mentioning that Nicușor Dan also paid 900,000 euros for an interview on RTV. She emphasized that private television stations can set their own rates, thus criticizing the selective interpretations of media collaborations. The investigation showed that the Permanent Electoral Authority refused full reimbursement of the amounts, considering that part of the content broadcast did not fall within legal electoral promotion. The case is still under verification.
