Former President Klaus Iohannis has been notified by ANAF to pay almost €1 million from the rental of a house in Sibiu, which was illegally retroceded. The property, rented for 17 years, generated revenues of €260,000-320,000. The courts ruled that the inheritance was obtained fraudulently, and ANAF has now decided to recover the sums, including penalties. Although Iohannis promised to pay back the money, the process has been delayed by litigation.
