ANAF confiscated 17.92 kg of gold from a pawn shop in Timișoara

ANAF inspectors discovered, at a pawn shop in Timișoara, 17.92 kilograms of illegally held gold, in the form of jewelry, watches, coins, and jewelry scraps. This quantity came from pawn contracts that were not registered according to the law in the company's records.

Following this discovery, the company was fined, and the gold was confiscated. ANAF emphasized that, following inspections carried out this year in the field of precious metal trade, over 70 kg of gold and the amount of 6 million lei, representing illicit income, were confiscated.

These actions are part of the authorities' efforts to combat illegal activities in this sector.
