ANAF has begun extensive checks on party music singers and other artists to verify the correctness of tax payments. The investigations are proceeding with difficulty, as some suspects are resorting to lawyers to delay the procedures. Following the inspections, ANAF identified undeclared tax liabilities of 1.6 million lei and additional claims of 710,930 lei from copyright. A notable example is the case of artist Dani Mocanu, who used multiple companies to avoid paying taxes. ANAF has recorded a record in checks on individuals with large fortunes, discovering undeclared income of 337 million lei in Cluj County. Compared to the first quarter, the number of checks has increased, and the additional identified revenues have reached 398 million lei.
