A humanitarian association from Constanța is the subject of a criminal investigation after being accused of embezzlement and fraud. Between December 2022 and December 2023, the association, created to support vulnerable individuals, allegedly used donation and sponsorship funds for vacations in the country and abroad, as well as for personal goods.

The police conducted four searches and identified unjustified expenses, including the organization of a Christmas party costing over 80,000 lei. The total estimated damage in this case is 2.4 million lei, and two men, the president of the association and an administrator, are being investigated for fraud and embezzlement. The measure of precautionary seizure has been ordered on their assets and those of the association.
