An ambulance transported on a platform overturned and caught fire on the A1, in Timiș County.

On Wednesday, on the A1 Highway, in the locality of Pișchia, Timiș County, an ambulance designated for transporting dialysis patients overturned from a platform and caught fire. Firefighters from the Pișchia Work Point quickly intervened to extinguish the fire that was manifesting at km 512, in the direction of Arad-Timișoara. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The ambulance was completely destroyed in the fire, which broke out at the moment the vehicle fell to the ground. The driver of the platform attempted to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher, but without success, however managing to disconnect the platform from the van, preventing the spread of the fire. Traffic in the area was hindered during the intervention of the firefighting and police crews, and authorities advised drivers to proceed with caution.
