After a tense meeting, Kelemen Hunor, the leader of UDMR, announced an agreement in the coalition regarding the reform of central and local administration, which provides for a 10% reduction in the number of positions actually occupied. Hunor emphasized that this reform is essential for drafting the budget law for 2026.
Although the discussions were difficult, with divergences between the two major parties, a consensus was reached on the reduction of positions. Hunor mentioned that the proposal will be included in the draft law and sent to the coalition leaders, to be discussed in the Government next week. He stressed that without this reform, it is not possible to build the budget for the next year, highlighting the existing blockage of two and a half months in this process.
