Irineu Darău, the new Minister of Economy, appointed Adriana Miron as chief of staff, a day after she took the oath, on Christmas Eve. Adriana Miron, former city manager of Brașov, previously held the position of director of the Brașov Metropolitan Agency.
She arrived in Brașov in 2021 and was associated with former mayor Allen Coliban, having connections with Dacian Cioloș. Although she is on legal leave, her employment contract will be suspended during her term at the Ministry of Economy. However, Adriana Miron has a controversial past, having been convicted in 2015 for intellectual forgery, receiving a two-year suspended sentence. In her 2022 wealth declaration, she mentioned owning two plots of land, two apartments, a house, and income from various sources.
