Irineu Darău, the interim Minister of Economy, rejected the criticisms directed at the emergency ordinance 38/2026, adopted by the Bolojan Government before its dismissal through a vote of no confidence. In an interview with Digi24, Darău emphasized that the OUG was adopted legally, having all the necessary approvals, including from the PSD, and that there are no risks for the SAFE program, although procedural delays could occur.
The criticisms from PSD and AUR, which claim that the procedure was problematic, are considered by Darău to be a change of priorities after PSD left the government. The minister called on Parliament to intervene quickly to resolve any issues related to the SAFE program, emphasizing that legislation can be adopted rapidly in case of national emergency. Additionally, Darău mentioned the amendments made to the ordinance for the wine industry, which were considered urgent by the ministries.
