Adrian Țuțuianu has taken over the leadership of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) for a term of eight years, replacing Toni Greblă, who was dismissed due to the controversial management of the institution's activities. Greblă was accused of covering up irregularities in the reports of some candidates and of political involvement, which led to his removal by Parliament. Țuțuianu stated that his priorities will include the rigorous application of the law and improving the AEP's capacity to meet citizens' expectations. The AEP is responsible for organizing elections and verifying the funding sources of parties, and the new president aims to strengthen the integrity and transparency of electoral processes. During his term, Țuțuianu will work on standardizing electoral procedures and enhancing control over campaign financing.
