Adrian Băzăvan, a civic activist from Ploiești, filed a complaint after being assaulted by supporters of Călin Georgescu, a former candidate in the presidential elections. The incident occurred on December 1, 2025, in Alba Iulia, where Băzăvan shouted "March to Moscow" in front of the crowd.

The authorities have opened a criminal case for the offense of assault or other violence, and the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Băzăvan stated that he was beaten for expressing his opinion about Georgescu, whom he considers a "security agent" and a "traitor to the country." Călin Georgescu arrived late to the event, being accompanied by bodyguards, and did not make any public statements.
