On Thursday evening, a tragedy occurred in a dental clinic in Bucharest, where a two-year-old girl died following anesthesia. The child was brought in by her parents for two minor dental issues and was sedated by a doctor who also works at Floreasca Hospital. After the anesthesia, around 5:30 PM, the girl began to show negative symptoms, going into cardiac arrest. Doctors attempted to resuscitate her for 40 minutes, and an SMURD crew was called to the scene. Although the girl responded temporarily to the resuscitation efforts, her heart stopped permanently after the third attempt. Initial information suggests that she may have received an overdose of anesthetic, and the police have opened an investigation to examine the circumstances of the tragedy.
