A 5-year-old child fell from a minibus in Tulcea County during an overtaking/ The police have opened a criminal case.

The incident took place on European Road 87, near the locality of Cataloi, when a minibus was involved in an overtaking maneuver. At the moment the driver turned left on the steering wheel, the sliding door on the right opened, and the child fell onto the road. Witnesses filmed the incident, and the footage was shared on social media, prompting authorities to open a criminal case for bodily harm due to negligence.

The child's parents were summoned for questioning, and road safety experts emphasized the importance of using child car seats in accordance with Romanian legislation. Investigators will check whether the child seat in the minibus was used correctly at the time of the incident.
