On October 21, 2025, a 61-year-old man threatened to set himself on fire on Kiseleff Road in Bucharest, having his clothes soaked with a flammable substance. The incident was reported via 112, and police from the 2nd Police Station intervened quickly, requesting the support of negotiators from the Special Actions Service. To ensure the safety of the man and the people in the area, the zone was cordoned off, and teams from the Emergency Situations Inspectorate and Gendarmerie were mobilized. The man, who had reportedly lost several plots of land in Constanța County, was convinced to abandon his act and was transported to the hospital for medical care.
