In the daily briefing in Brussels, the European Commission specified that the request for information addressed to Shein concerned the measures taken by the platform to prevent the sale of products that do not comply with European standards. According to the EU executive, the company's response has been received and is currently being evaluated by the competent services.
Commission officials emphasized that monitoring is ongoing and that European authorities remain vigilant regarding compliance with product safety and consumer protection rules.
