A 25-year-old police officer from Satu Mare caused an accident on DN 1C, damaging two vehicles, with a blood alcohol level of 1.13 mg/l

A 25-year-old police officer from Satu Mare County caused a traffic accident on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday on the national road DN 1C. According to the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), he had a blood alcohol concentration of 1.13 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

The young man, from the locality of Medieșu-Aurit, lost control of his car, entering the opposite lane, where he collided with a car driven by a 19-year-old from Harghita County and a van driven by a 29-year-old man, also from Harghita. As a result of the impact, there were no casualties, only material damages. The police continue their investigations to establish the circumstances of the accident and to take measures against the driver who was under the influence of alcohol.
