The prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office next to the Sector 1 Court have ordered the judicial control of 20 drivers from the Bucharest Transport Company (STB), accused of stealing approximately one ton of diesel fuel from the buses' tanks. The acts were committed between January 23, 2026, and April 17, 2026, during working hours, within the North Bus Depot in Bucharest.

Following the searches carried out on May 7, 2026, the prosecutor decided on the preventive measure of judicial control for a period of 60 days, prohibiting the defendants from working as drivers. The investigation revealed a significant amount of diesel fuel, and the authorities continue their investigations to determine the full extent of the criminal activity.
