Between May 14 and 31, 2026, the 'Brâncovenesc Palaces at the Gates of Bucharest' Cultural Center will host the exhibition "echo chamber: the space between," signed by artists Irina Cîmpeanu Ștefureac and Medeea Stănescu. The opening will take place on May 16 at 4 PM. The exhibition explores the tension between the two artistic practices without proposing a common theme.

The works of Medeea Stănescu create an atmospheric space where form dissolves into an unstable field of light and color, transforming the landscape into an ephemeral phenomenon. In contrast, Irina Cîmpeanu Ștefureac introduces recognizable objects but places them in destabilizing contexts, generating a tension between the familiar and discomfort. The exhibition space becomes an active field of tension, where the image oscillates between appearance and fixation, inviting the viewer to remain in this unstable zone, where meaning is continuously constructed from the interaction of the two artistic directions.
