Silent Book Club, an international community of active readers in over 60 countries, opens its first branch in Romania, in Bucharest, at Seneca Anticafe. The project is initiated by Oana Boca Stănescu, Eliza Dumitrașcu, and Gabriela Georgescu, professionals in the publishing field.
The first meeting will take place on Sunday at 4:00 PM and will include an hour of individual reading, preceded and followed by open discussions among participants. Although participation is free, places are limited, and the organizers recommend prior registration. Silent Book Club aims to transform reading into a social experience, free from the pressure of mandatory readings, and is addressed to all book lovers. At the first edition, participants are encouraged to wear clothing details that reflect the mood of the books being read. This initiative contributes to the development of a community of passionate readers, promoting reading as a relaxing and accessible activity.
