In addition to the traditional system that relied on critic reviews, Rotten Tomatoes has introduced a new category, 'Verified Hot', in which movies are labeled based on 'Verified Audience' feedback. This follows the previous system's vulnerability to manipulation through practices such as 'review bombing'. The 'Verified Hot' label is only given to movies that score 90% or more positive among users who attended screenings of the movie.
